Um... it's not exactly like I went looking for a younger Depp at first, it's just that I saw Arizona Dream for the first time the other day and was all "omg, he's just a baby here!" while I was watching and when I checked imdb it turned out that the "baby" had been 30 years old! And in my shocked state I checked out the list of movies where he was young for real and thought I'd just check "21 JS" out. The rest is history, cause anything is better than my textbook right now :P, plus looking at officer Hanson aka ridiculously tiny Depp and laughing at 80s fashion is addictive. And, to be honest, the show's really not horrible most of the time. At least so far as early s2. It's understandable that he wouldn't have wanted to get stuck in it though. (Arizona Dream though, if you haven't seen it, is rather great, if typically Kusturitsa quirky.)
