RIP,Robert Jordan
Sep. 18th, 2007 08:25 pmHe died on September 16.I'd known he was ill for about a year, but still it's a shock. The Wheel Of Time may not be the best written fantasy series ever and long-winded was sometimes too mild to be said for his style. But it's still one of the major works in the genre and I still love it and it's important for me.Along with Due South,WoT was what drove me to the interwebs and the portal stone taught me that internet could be more than Paul Gross pics :] and became my first glimpse at fandom. My lj name comes from my first handle there-Nynaeve.
The last WoT book wasn't finished and Jordan was working on it to the end, leaving his relatives with knowledge enough that someone can sort of tell the story.Even though it won't be the same,I'm greatful we'll have some closure, because
